CARAVAN ARTS

arts space & micro-venue in a vintage caravan

My STORY

I’m Sarah, an artist facilitator, producer, curator & mum based in Somerset. My interests are in participatory arts, space & place, deep listening practices and audio work used in social & environmental activism.

In 2017 I bought a vintage caravan to use as a mobile arts space, to gather and share creative ideas & stories as it moves between places.

I’m currently doing my PhD in art and migration, exploring concepts of ‘home’ and ‘homeland’ in contemporary arts, drawing on indigenous practices of oral storytelling to explore how this impacts on feelings of belonging within migrating communities.

I run creative events and workshops using sustainable materials for people of all ages, and co-curate site specific, storytelling projects in wild, rural, urban & festival settings with
artists & communities.

Please get in touch if you have an idea for a project.. I’m always open to new collaborations!

So far I’m grateful to have worked with wonderful groups, artists and organisations, and received project funding and commissions from several sources..
